Hello from Rochester, Minnesota!

We had a wonderful time here at the Taste of Home Cooking School in Rochester, MN. Thanks to show coordinator, Mary Anne Nonn, and our hosts from 102.5 The Fox, the entire event went off without a hitch!

Here is a photo of our emcee, Julie Jones, on the left (from The Fox morning show) and our team of on stage food assistants just prior to the school. They were so much fun, and Julie always brings great personality to her role as emcee!  She keeps us chuckling throughout the evening.

Each time the cooking school visits a city, we work with volunteers who help prep the ingredients and assist with recipes for the show.

Special thanks to our Rochester chefs (L-R, Chef Angela, Chef Josh, and Chef Al from Hy-Vee Foods, Chef Nick from the Rochester International Events Center, and in the front is Julie Herrera-Lemler from You Betcha Cupcake).

Be sure to look for a Taste of Home Cooking School in your area by visiting the cooking school section of www.tasteofhome.com. You’ll find all the details for purchasing tickets. We hope to see you soon!

    • Thank you, Michael! I appreciate you taking time to make a comment. Yes, this was a great show with awesome assistants. You know how much that means! I hope your travels are going well (as I’m sure they are). Take care! — Karen

    • Thank you, Dana! Yes – Julie was so much fun to work with. And, she’s starting a new cupcake business this year. The folks in Rochester say “hello” by the way. They love you! — Take care & safe travels!

  1. Karen, I was at the Flint, MI show last night and it was awesome. My sisters and I had a great time. I didn’t see a post for that show so I am just tagging onto this one. I woke up this morning and all I wanted to do is cook. I made the Grilled Chicken in mango chipotle mojo, it was AWESOME. They all asked for seconds! Definitely a keeper recipe. Although, after dinner my husband asked me where the peanut butter cheesecake was, maybe next time:)

    • Hi Lisa,
I’m so glad to hear you had fun at the show last night! Yes, there are a couple of different places to leave comments on the blog, so I’m glad you found this one. It is fun to hear you already tried a recipe. I’m impressed!! Way to go! And, I have to agree that a piece of peanut butter cheesecake sounds pretty good right now to me, too. 🙂 I’m back home for the weekend, so maybe I’ll have to make one!
I hope to see you again at another show in the future! — Karen
