I attended the Cooking Class in Dearborn, Michigan, last night and really enjoyed it. I can’t believe we were there for 3 hours as it went so fast. Between the large screen and having Michael on stage, it was easy to watch and learn. Although he only completed 10 recipes, it was a good variety and I look forward to trying many of the others you provided. You give away great prizes too! Most important, I am excited about cooking again for the first time in years. Thank you!
I attended my first Taste of Home Show yesterday October 22nd at Lowville NY.. What an amazing show.. Friends and family are already talking about next year.. Chef Michael did an awesome job. Thank you for bringing this to our area !
Patty, I hope they have another one up there… would love to take my mom and sis in laws to one of these. I just experienced my first in Corning, yesterday. Awesome, Chef Michael was awesome!.
I attended the Cooking Show last night in Gloversville, N.Y.. Chef Michael was excellent. He was informative, funny and very entertaining. I really enjoyed the show and will most definally go again. LOL, and no he did not pay me to write this.
We were at the cooking show Thursday evening in Gloversville. Chef Michael did an excellent
job of demonstrating and shared tips on cooking that will be very helpful. The show started on time and moved right along and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you.
My husband and I attended the cooking show today (11/5) in Plattsburgh, NY with Chef Eric. It was absolutely awesome! He has a wonderful personality and not only did he keep us chuckling, he was very informative with helpful tips. We are looking forward to next years show! Thanks Taste of Home! You ROCK!
Do you ever do a show in Louisville KY or Indianapolis IN ?
Love to take classes………I have always wanted to take Chinese cooking class.
Karen-
We do a show in the Fall in Indianapolis, and have some other shows in the Louisville area. Check out http://www.tasteofhome.com/Cooking-Schools/Find-a-Class in mid-January to see our Spring lineup.
Just a few questions–when will the schedule be posted for the next set of cooking classes?
Every consider doing a series of healthy classes? We have an obesity epidemic in this country and to go to classes on cooking healthy would be great?
What about a Q&A session after the classes?
BTW The cookbooks are an addiction of mine and I work with developmentally disabled adults. We have used to recipes from the simple and delicious magazine and they were both simple and delicious. Thanks!
Went to the Seymore IN show with Dana </ : ) last night, she was AMAZing…Will never forget ceranno peppers THATS for sure LOL !!!

Cheryl, it was lovely meeting you Thursday March22,2012 behind the the stage at the Midland Center for the Arts! I went in to it basically blind to what I would be doing. My friend asked me to go along because I love to cook. I’ve been very ill for a long time and promised to go if I felt I could hang tough. It was such an experience, that I took a l
I hope to be able to do it all again next year! Thank you there are many who appreciate your efforts! Brenda!
away from personally. You are amazing you were so organized,in that space! And had great shoes
Brenda,
Love to be able to do it again next year, I am glad you had such a nice experience and hope you can assist again during future shows. We love our helpers because we could not do a show without them! Thanks again for all your help, Cheryl
I attended the show in Eau Claire WI. Karen was a great personality. She made fixing the food look like an adventure and it sounded so good that I wished we could have a one bite taste of each dish. I am so thankful to be able to have the recipes to try at home. My friends and I look forward to that night out each year. Thank you for giving us a great time.
Great show in Logan, Utah last night with Kristi Larson. She is high energy and shared so many good tips. I’m especially excited to try the mushroom tacos. I hope she’s back next year!
I attended the Cooking Show in Hamburg, NY and I must say that I was very disappointed. The vendor exhibition beforehand was disappointing; small and being more of a gathering of names for future sales promotion than anything else from companies like Tastefully Simple, Avon, etc as well as Chiropractors, and others.
The video feed kept going out during the show and although the chef was great it definitely detracted from the presentation. The gift bag that we were handed contained little of value and the “cookbook” that was promoted was merely a special issue of the Taste of Home Magazine. Neither of us that attended has received their “free subscription” to the Taste of Home Magazine that we signed up by sending in the postcard.
In addition it seemed to us that a disproportionate number of door prizes were distributed to the women that were helping the chef onstage. Whether they were paid or volunteers, it really did not look good.
In summary, not a good value for the money.
I love attending the cooking shows as my daughter and I have made it our tradition to attend every year. We can’t seem to find a show by us. It has always been in Merrillville, In. or Hammond, In. . Is there going to be a show by us this year? Please don’t tell me no. I don’t know what we would do without attending a show.
