Fresh Herb Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh tarragon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • In a small bowl, beat all ingredients until blended. Spread onto a
  • baking sheet to 1/2-in. thickness. Freeze, covered, until firm.
  • Cut butter with a 1-in. cookie cutter. Store, layered between waxed
  • paper, in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Yield: about 2 dozen.
