As a kid growing up in the Cleveland, Ohio area there was only one time and place to watch scary movies, which was on Friday nights with Ghoulardi, a TV show host that played every scary movie possible. And always a good time to have my friends over for a “screaming” pajama party, our favorite movies were Frankenstein and The Mummy. Needless to say when we would go trick or treating on Halloween someone would always bring up these movies, making the night even more exciting and scary.
Now, I don’t watch scary movies anymore, maybe some reality shows, those are scary enough. One of my favorite things to do on Halloween night is to turn off all of the lights in the house, light all of my candles, sit on the porch by the pumpkin patch and await all of the trick or treater’s. My neighborhood is swarming with kids, adults and dogs all dressed-up with some of the most creative costumes; we easily give away 25 to 30 bags of candy in a two hour period. It should be a lot of fun again this year; I thought these creative candles might add to the Halloween festivities. Happy Halloween!
