There is always a lot of action going on in my kitchen, like most kitchens. Whether it is just cooking something simple for the grandkids or making a large family meal. People are coming and going, not knowing who will be there for a meal or if we will just have left overs. But there is one thing that stays constant and that is the family member that remains by my side as I prepare meals. She sits by waiting patiently hoping to be the first one to try something new and then there are times, when I am not looking, she is the first one to try something new. Of course by now you know I am talking about my dog, the first one to greet me when I come home, the one that follows me around the house with the ball in her mouth waiting to play and the one that has a squirrel as her favorite toy.
She is very sneaky when there is activity in the kitchen, just waiting to grab a morsel or two. Like the time she ate a dozen freshly baked chocolate chip cookies (had to call the vet on that one), or the time she ate a loaf of rising bread dough (she smelled like yeast for a few days) and I am assuming she ate one of the hamburgers, the last time we grilled out, by the way she was licking her chops.
But I really don’t like to give her too much food from the table so I like to make her something special now and then and this recipe: www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/Dog-Biscuits is just the treat for her.

If members of your family are of the furry, four-legged kind, treat them to these homemade biscuits. They’re a cinch to make, and your canine pals will go crazy for the peanut butter flavor.
So Bailey Bear, these treats are for you! And all of you animal lovers out there; don’t forget your pets when it comes to making something special, after all we love our pets and they love us. If you don’t have pets remember your friends who do, especially with the holidays coming; make a gift basket for your friends and one for their dog!
