Good times in Kalispell!

I just finished a show in Kalispell, Montana, and it was a great day!  I’ve been coming to Kalispell for several years, and it’s one of my favorite shows to do.  Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and there is always lots of excitement when Taste of Home is in town.  And to make things even better, it’s such a beautiful part of the country to visit; I love being able to drive through the mountains and around Flathead Lake as I make my way to Kalispell.

I had some great help from some of the culinary arts students at Flathead High School, and they all did a fabulous job!  There’s a lot of preparation involved in putting a show together, and I couldn’t have done it without their help.

I also had the opportunity to meet several VIP ticket holders; at this particular event, they received a Taste of Home Cookbook, a light meal provided by the grocery sponsor, Super 1 Foods, and we had a short Q&A session.  I love getting to spend some time with Taste of Home fans before the show, and look forward to all of the VIP events at the different Cooking School’s that I conduct.

If you haven’t had a chance to come to a show yet this spring, I hope you’ll be able to make it to one; we’re just getting started, and I’ll be in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Utah over the next few months.  Be sure to check our schedule of shows on www.tasteofhome.com, and I hope to see you on the road!

  1. just found out that tickets go on sale Thursday of the show in Aberdeen SD . We arre really looking foward to come to the show but this year we are getting close to the front . Was in the nosebleed section last year and they didn’t have a big screen to watch lol

  2. Just attended the show with Michael as the Chef at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. Enjoyed the show very much, learned some new techniques. Also, enjoyed the 101.5 radio station staff. Would definitely attend another show in my area again!

  3. I was at the Taste of Home Show in Asheville last night. Michelle “Red” was great! She is a natural on stage and she always has so much new info for us. My favorite sponsor was Ortega and I am looking forward to making the Mexican Casserole. Thanks Taste of Home! Thanks Michelle for a wonderful night of food and fun!

  4. There is a show coming to Saratoga Springs, NY. But I couldn’t find much information on it. Can you tell me what exactly they do at the show?

  5. I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Martinsburg, WV, show with Chef Michael. It was phenomenal! I loved the helpful hints the best. Wish the show was in our area more than once a year. Or it was a longer event, say a whole weekend!!! Taste of Home is the greatest!!!

  6. Attended my first cooking show with Kristi being our chef in Nampa, Id. My daughter and I had a ball. The show was first rate, I could see and hear everything so well. I was really happy to see how many recipes were prepared and all the great cooking tips sprinkled throughout the show. I have already gone shopping for ingredients to try some of the recipes at home. Although I couldn’t find chipotle pepper in adobo….(not even sure what adobo is!)…I will try to improvise. I will definately look to come out to another show in the future.

    • Thanks for coming to the show, I’m so glad you had a good time! The chipotle pepper in adobo comes in a can, and is found with the mexican foods, usually somewhere near the green chiles, salsas and hot sauces. Good luck!
